These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TutorPik website, mobile application and services (the "Platform"), operated by TutorPik ("TutorPik", "we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Our role — TutorPik is a platform
We do not charge any commission on tuition fees — parents pay tutors directly and tutors keep what they charge. Our revenue comes from optional tutor subscriptions (see Pro subscription).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to create an account. Students who are minors may use the Platform only through, and under the supervision of, a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for their use and for any tuition arranged for them.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Terms for tutors
- Provide truthful, accurate profile information (qualifications, experience, subjects, fees, area and mode). Misrepresentation may lead to removal.
- You may be asked to submit identity documents for verification. You confirm you are entitled to provide them.
- You set your own fees and teaching arrangements. You act as an independent provider — not an employee, agent or partner of TutorPik.
- You are responsible for your conduct, the quality and safety of your tuition, and for complying with applicable laws (including tax obligations).
5. Terms for parents
- Provide accurate requirements and information.
- You are responsible for selecting a tutor, conducting your own due diligence, agreeing fees and terms directly with the tutor, and supervising your child's tuition and safety.
- TutorPik verifies tutor profiles to build trust but does not guarantee any tutor's qualifications, conduct, results or suitability. Please exercise your own judgement.
6. Pro subscription
- Tutors may optionally purchase a Pro subscription for features such as direct parent contact, priority visibility and a Verified Pro badge.
- Current plans are ₹399 for 3 months and ₹999 for 12 months. Prices and features may change; the price shown at purchase applies to that term.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway. A subscription is valid for the stated term.
- Refunds: subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the term has started, except where required by law or approved by us at our discretion. If a paid feature is materially unavailable due to our fault, contact us and we will make it right.
7. Content & reviews
You retain ownership of the content you submit (profiles, posts, reviews, messages). By submitting content, you grant TutorPik a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and use it to operate and promote the Platform. Reviews must be genuine and based on real experience. We may moderate, edit or remove content that is false, unlawful, abusive or violates these Terms.
8. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- provide false information, impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or credentials;
- harass, abuse, defraud or endanger any user, or post unlawful, obscene or infringing content;
- use the Platform for spam, scraping, data harvesting, or any automated access without permission;
- attempt to interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other accounts;
- use the Platform for any purpose that is illegal or violates these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its name, logo, design, text and software, is owned by TutorPik or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works without our permission. "TutorPik" and our logo are our trademarks.
10. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any tutor or parent, or the outcome of any tuition, will meet your expectations. Verification of a tutor does not constitute a guarantee.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TutorPik and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from the conduct, acts or omissions of any parent, student or tutor, or from any tuition arrangement made through the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or to protect users or the Platform. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
13. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform. We will always try to resolve concerns amicably first — please contact us.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
